Após 16 anos a observar o centro da Via Láctea, o grupo descobriu que ali se encontra um buraco negro supermaciço, o primeiro de que há provas directas. Tem massa de 4 milhões de sóis, o diâmetro do Sol e está bem longe da Terra, a 27 mil anos-luz.
